This full-day course is ideal for riders on a Learner licence or those on a Class 6 Restricted licence riding LAMS-approved machines. It directly assists you to get the skills and practice to confidently pass your Restricted Licence test (CBTA).

This training is run by Kevin and Jason from Tasman Motorcycle Training

What you’ll get out of it:

• a sound understanding of road positioning: to better see and be seen, and its importance in cornering

• improved skills in low-speed manoeuvring and braking

• understanding the right speed and gear for any riding situation

On the day:

After a thorough briefing and safety check you'll head out onto a mix of urban and rural roads, including some higher speed sections. Practicing skills may take place off-highway with several stops for assessment, including a lunch break at a café.

What to bring:

Ensure you wear protective motorcycle clothing top to toe, and bring a pen, paper, and money to buy lunch.

Make sure your machine is warranted, registered, and roadworthy. Please arrive with a full tank.
